#7 McCarty School Comment: Editors response 3

Thank you for the dialogue. More information is coming. We are committed to sorting it out and are comfortable with being corrected. TNN is also excited about providing a public forum for a more thorough discussion by the people most concerned with the issue from both sides. I expected and looked forward to a response and thank you for being concerned enough to provide one.

The piece was under investigated and did not live up to our usual fact check policy, which I readily admit and apologize for. Yet your facts which are articulate and accurate to a degree are only partial and are also disputed so may not be the last word either. Although the issue got off to a bumpy start, we are happy to provide a public forum for discussion and presentation of information that is focused on clarifying the issues and concerns for both sides. When there is such strong positioning from two sides the truth is usually somewhere in the middle and thorough discussion with an eye towards clarity is often helpful. As I've said, more information will be posted on this site addressing this issue and the facts presented. I welcome and encourage community input from both sides in a public forum with the intention of moving towards understanding and clarity. We will be doing a larger more accurate piece on this issue in the April edition and will provide corrections if appropriate. Stay tuned for more info in the next few days.
