FIRST THURSDAYS IN LITTLE ETHIOPIA

JUNE16Eth
5 to 9 p.m.
Fairfax Avenue south of OlympiC

Catch a whiff of tumeric, paprika and chilies, and pass the injera bread. It’s time to explore Little Ethiopia a home to a concentration of Eritrean and Ethiopian businesses and restaurants. Now, on the first Thursday evening of each month, merchants on this small stretch of Fairfax open their doors throughout the evening to visitors eager to explore Ethiopian culture, while local eateries dish up Ethiopian cuisine, including vegetarian/vegan specialties. Explore the collection of galleries, gift stores, vintage shops and famed Hansen’s Cakes and listen to the live music invited to perform for this special occasion. Now the perfect excuse for those of you who have been talking about checking this local community treasure out. First Thursdays!  Next event July 1.   Mark your calendar!JUNE16Et
