Fatally Wounded Boy Dropped Off At Local Fire Station

On Thursday July 7, Melvin Childs of Gardena, a 16 year old boy, was fatally shot. He was still alive when two men in their 20's dumped him at 9:45 pm at the #26 fire station on 2009 S. Western just north of the 10 freeway. He died of a single gun shot wound after arriving at the hospital.
