There will be a temporary closure of Jefferson Boulevard at La Cienega Boulevard and intermittent lane closures on La Cienega Boulevard scheduled for Monday, December 21, 2009 through Friday, January 29, 2010.
What: Temporary Closure of Jefferson Boulevard at La Cienega Boulevard and Intermittent Lane Closures on La Cienega Boulevard
When: Monday, December 21, 2009 through Friday, January 29, 2010
Night work hours: Monday through Thursday, 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
Friday, 11:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.
(Construction schedules are subject to change for various reasons including but not limited to: weather conditions, unforeseen emergencies and other acts of nature.)
Where: Construction crews will be working on eastbound Jefferson Boulevard and on the west side of La Cienega Boulevard along the Exposition right-of-way.
Traffic Impacts:
* Northbound and southbound traffic on La Cienega Boulevard will remain open to through traffic, but will occasionally be reduced to one lane in both directions. Southbound traffic on La Cienega will not be allowed to turn west onto Jefferson Boulevard.
* Eastbound National Boulevard (which turns into eastbound Jefferson Boulevard) will be detoured to southbound Jefferson Boulevard and cars will follow all appropriate detour signs.
* Westbound Jefferson Boulevard will be detoured to southbound La Cienega Boulevard and cars will follow all appropriate detour signs.
* Directional signage and electronic message boards will be used to safely direct drivers around the construction zones in order to minimize the disruption to traffic.
Advisories: Parking restrictions in all construction areas will be strictly enforced at all times. Please do not enter the construction work zone and obey all posted construction signs.
